17 Weeks

This little girl sure makes me smile. She is wearing my boots and swiffer sweeping the floors. What a big helper. ;0 She is really cute with the new baby growing big in my belly, she pretends she is tickling it. I can't let her do it too long though cuz it starts to hurt after awhile. But it's sweet when she gives it a kiss. I've definitely started showing a lot sooner with this one. It's exciting. I had an appointment last week and things are going good. My next appointment is Feb. 2 and we will be finding out the sex of the baby that day. I can't wait. Whenever Corey and I ask Jordan if mommy is having a brother or a sister, she always says sister. And she is dead serious about it. And we say whichever is great! We are very excited.
My sister Jana had her 3rd baby yesterday morning. Her 2nd son, he is a little stud. I can't wait to meet you little man. I'm so glad you are here. Both mom and baby are doing great! Love you guys!
Jordan is now in her new room, my parents and Corey painted her room. I got to say I am in love with it. There are some last minute finishing touches with her bed and room decor, but other than that it is so cute. And so Jordan! I can't say enough how greatful I am for them doing that for us, thanks again. Next project, new babies room!!!

Christmas 2011

Christmas was so fun this year! Our tree was from our cabin, my parent's chopped it down for us when they went there for Thanksgiving. We loved it! Thank you mom and dad for the beautiful tree. We actually made these cookies sometime in early November. I was really bad with picture taking this Christmas as I have been it seems for a very long time. I need to do better. But Santa did come and Jordan's big present was a bike. She finally learned to ride it last week. I'll post bike pictures of her on a later post. Right now we only ride it inside, lol! We had a great holiday and a great new year! We spent it with friends and had tons of snacks and yummy grub. Thanks everyone for the yummy goodies and your Christmas cards. I love getting those! ;) I'm sorry we didn't do one this year, time seriously slipped away from me. We will do one this next year for sure. I hope everyone had a great one!!!

13 Weeks!

I need to officially announce that Corey, Jordan and I are expecting a new family member. Baby #2 is due to arrive June 20th. We can't be more thrilled. I have been able to see my baby every doctor visit so far in the ultrasounds and it is very comforting. My doctor is seriously the best, she has done a lot of tests on me from my previous pregnancy and found out that I have a bloodclotting disorder called Leiden Factor 5 and that is why I had issues with Jordan's pregnancy. My doc says that the risk of everything happening to me again with this one is higher because of the disorder but atleast now we know and we can monitor it more closely and hopefully catch things before it gets worse. I tell you she is an answer to all of my prayers. One of the side effects of the disorder is pre-eclampsia. WOW! It's in 5% of the American population. My doctor says I was most likely born with it. Anyway just thought I'd throw that out there for family records.

Jordan tells us it's a sister when we ask her what is the baby inside of me? It's really cute! She comes and pats me in the stomach, quite hard actually, to tell us the baby is there. We are anxiously waiting for #2, I'm especially excited to see how Jordan does with it. She loves babies!!!Can't wait!

Utah Thanksgiving 2011!

We took family pics on Saturday because we needed an update. Jordan was 5 months old in the last one we all took together, so Peti scheduled a photo shoot. It was tons of fun and I really like the photographer, she did a great job. I'm so glad Peti is on top of these things, they really are important and I love having pictures. It was hilarious trying to get Jordan to cooperate but I think she got a lot of good shots of her!!! I have other pics to post later from Thanksgiving, but those are being emailed to me so I will have to get them later! It was a great trip and I'm so grateful for family! Love you guys!

This year Jordan was a black cat and we took her trick-or-treating for the first time. (instead of trunk-or-treat) It was tons of fun! Her ears didn't stay on very well. But they were cute. My mom made the skirt with the tail attached and I always wore it when I was a little girl.

Our friends the Lee's came with us. They were so cute running house to house. They got so much candy. There is Porter (dragon), Jordan and Annastyn (80's work-out girl).

They were pretty funny when the people would say "take one". Yeah right. Whenever that happened we always stepped in, haha!

Afterwards we got to see Kadyn and Kameran as pirates before the night was through. So cute!

Then after going through our neighborhood we went to my parent's house to get more candy, of course. ;) It was a nice night and so fun!

MONDAY OCTOBER 10, 2011

First bus ride Monday afternoon after meeting up with the Raddons...let the fun begin!!!!

TUESDAY OCTOBER 11, 2011

I think Jana and Jovie were taking a potty break after they went on Autopia. That's why they are missing. Brock loves Buzz!

Look it's BUZZ--AH! Jordan always puts an "a" at the end of his name. She thinks he is really cool, so do we! The ride was so fun too! Then we took Jordan on Matterhorn. She was nervous but she liked it.

Then we went over to California Adventure and went to the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Disney Junior show. That was seriously so cool. I was so busy watching it these are the only pics I took of it. Jordan couldn't believe they were right in front of her. Then Jordan was tall enough to go on California Soaring. She thought that was pretty neat.

Then we rode on Heimlich from Bug's life. Jordan loved that one. After that we went to Toy Story Mania, which is the first time Corey and I had ever been. It is way fun!That is where we met up with Trent and Shelby. They drove all night Monday. We were so happy they were able to come. Then we took Jordan back to the hotel because she was pretty tired. The park closed at 6 that night so we decided to swim for the rest of the evening, then we played games after the kiddos went to bed.

WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 12, 2011

IT SAYS; Fairies Welcome. This picture of Jovie cracks me up, cuz when I took it I didn't know she was trying to get in until I took it, so cute. This line took forever. Look at their faces below, lol. Corey, Brett and Brock went on 3 rides while we were in line to see the Fairies.

Jovie and Silvermist. Jovie asks her mom if she can dye her hair just like Silvermist, what a contrast. Jovie I love you!

Isn't this so cute? Vidia, Jovie and Tinkerbell. Jordan was shy for some reason. But she did give her favorite Vidia a high-five. I missed it picture wise because I was holding her. She made Vidia's day though because right when Jordan saw her when we turned the corner Jordan said, "it's Vidia". She said no one ever does that to her.

Then we went over to ride Indiana Jones and it was closed for a little bit, so we took the kids through the Tarzan treehouse. Jordan thought that was pretty cool. At the top I took this picture of the Thunder Mountain Railroad mountain. Pretty huh?

We found Winnie the Pooh right after we got off Splash Mountain. Jordan was kind of hesitant but she literally just got off Splash Mountain. Yup I took her on it. I didn't think I was going to but hey she is tall enough and it was during the day. She did pretty good. She kept saying all done all done during the whole ride. She wanted to get off before we started then at the end of the drop she said all done again and I said yes all done.

THURSDAY OCTOBER 13, 2011

We went straight over to Alice in Wonderland while we were waiting for ToonTown to open. Jordan liked this ride as well. These kids were having a blast.

When ToonTown opened we went through Minnie Mouse' house, the kids thought it was cool, the details are adorable. After that we took them on the roller coaster. It went surprisingly faster than I thought it did. Jordan was kind of scared of that one. But she did it.

THURSDAY NIGHT: LAST NIGHT IN DISNEYLAND

These pictures are of us waiting for World of Color to start. It was AMAZING! Definitely don't miss it if you have the chance. Right before this we were able to ride Grizzly Rapids, we got soaked. It is awesome riding it at night, you can't tell who is going to get more wet. Jordan got a present from Grandma and Grandpa, it is a Nemo stuffed animal. She is in love, she carries it around like it's her baby. I'll post a pic of them together I'm sure. I'm so glad we all got together to play in Disneyland. I love you all and miss you all already. Corey turned 27 on Friday! We had a blast hanging with friends and getting away for the night in Tucson while my mom took Jordan for us. Thanks mom!!! I'm lame and this is the only pic I took. I was planning on taking a picture while we were eating in Tucson but we were laughing way too hard. ;) I completely forgot. Oh how I love my man. He thinks he is getting so old. But I keep reminding him the older we get the better it gets. OH Yeah! Here's to many more birthdays baby. I love you tons!

I am so proud of her! On Monday August 1, 2011 we started the boot camp potty training. WHAT A LONG DAY! But by Wednesday she had gotten it. Our little routine is so cute. Now during the day she tells me when she has to go. But of course I will still ask her, especially if we are out and about. I say, Jordan do you need to go potty on the toilet? Her usual reply is NOT YET! Love it. When she is ready she goes. That is how this 2 year olds whole life has been, so I'm not so surprised.

Some Jordan updates: this girl loves Tinkerbell, she loves her friends, her favorite movies right now are Tinkerbell and Despicable Me, she loves to sing Happy Birthday, she loves hursery-nursery, her favorite line from Despicable Me is "oh yeah" just like how Vector says it-hilarious, she loves her grandparents and Chase, she loves her shoes and everyone elses, loves it when it rains, still loves Mickey Mouse, she loves riding her pink motorcycle, coloring, pretending to read her Friends Magazine, books, blanket, her star, hats, dancing and so much more! Mom and dad love you little J! We are so proud of you!

I wish I could say we watched fireworks, but we weren't able to because of the fires two weeks ago of course. It was still too hot! I'm glad to say though the monsoons have arrived early and we can't be more greatful! Our weekend started off with going swimming at the Tombstone city pool Friday morning. Here are some pics.....

Jordan loves to swim. She was really mad that I interrupted her swimming with picture taking, so she isn't really smiling in any of them.

For the 4th I didn't have the camera, of course, it was a very fun day! Happy 4th everyone.

Roller coaster!

This past week has been such a crazy roller coaster ride. The whole town is in disarray. Just to update things. After Thursday on Friday when we didn't think it could get worse, it had gotten worse. That morning Jordan and I were playing with Chase, my family's dog, and having a stress free day. We went to our neighbor's house to make Corey's fathers day card. We were hand painting and using her criquet, awesome machine! Then we went to my other friend's house for lunch that she made us. So yummy! I have great friends. We left her place a little after 1p.m. The fire had picked up on the mountain just like any afternoon, so it wasn't something new. After we got home and I put Jordan down I looked outside at the mountain one last time and I laid down myself because I was so exhausted. Right when I laid down Corey sent me a text saying there is a fire on buffalo and 7th and we live up the street from there. So I called him and asked him if I should worry about anything or if it would affect us, he said no. So I fell asleep. I was probably asleep for about twenty minutes when my neighbor was pounding on my front door and window screaming get up, get out of the house, the fire is here. I woke up startled in a daze. I ran to open the door and the first thing I saw from my driveway was a wall of fire and my neighbors running back and forth from the inside of their cars and homes. It was total chaos. Ten minutes later a border patrol agent drove down my road and announced on his intercom this is a mandatory evacuation you need to leave now. My neighbors pretty much packed my car while I was throwing things together. I still don't know what happened barely. But I drove myself, Jordan and Chase to my friend's house balling my eyes out. I knew the firefighters would take care of the neighborhood and not let it burn but I was just furious of the situation and exhausted from the horrible emotions of the whole week. So yeah I was balling. Jordan was saying it's ok mommy, mommy it's alright, you're ok! P.S. this is a very short version, but we were able to come back home in a short period of time, I don't remember the time frame, but it was short. My house was way too smokey for Jordan to sleep in though so we stayed at a friend's house that night and returned home Saturday morning. To look at this at a positive perspective I now know what to do when something like this were to ever show it's ugly face again. They are telling us to stay packed or be very prepared because we might be evacuated again just for population control. I'll update some organizing, grab to go tips later. Everyone is probably more prepared than me but I still want to document it. Anyway what caused fire number 2 was a tiny spark from a machine that was getting rid of grass so that fire wouldn't catch it when it came closer from the mountain. It went up very fast and someone caught it then started backburning it so it became a controlled fire. Then I can't remember what happened Saturday. But Sunday the winds were insane and it hit hard again. Church for everyone was only an hour and we had to be out before the afternoon hit. It jumped the highway again and this time burned down restuarants near my parent's neighborhood and more homes. Can we say wow! I think everyone has hit their breaking point by now.
In good news my parent's house and their neighborhood is still standing and they should have the fires out soon, hopefully. They declared this fire the number one fire to put out in the country. That was good news because it brought in tons more help.
Thanks again to all the firefighters and law enforcement doing an awesome job!

Monument Fire 6/15-6/16

WEDNESDAY (about 3 p.m.)

This picture was taken at my parent's home while I was standing in their driveway. I was grabbing last minute items while talking to my sister on the phone when the evacuation sirens went off. It was a very chilling sound when the police cars were going through the neighborhood telling everyone to leave. My mom and dad are in Las Vegas for my dad's work conference he has every year. They left this morning around 6 a.m. Luckily they had been on pre-evacuation ahead of time on Tuesday to pack some valuables and store them in my house. But when my mom remembered a few more things I drove up to get them on Wednesday. Then I called my sister and my brother to see if they wanted anything else out that we didn't get on Tuesday. That's why I was up there when the evacuation took place. The fire was on its way to the top of Miller Peak by the end of Wednesday. Which is that point you see.
Wednesday update from the incident management team:
The fire had spread over 9,300 acres and it was 17% contained. We have 536 people assigned to the fire, including 13 crews, 40 engines and 5 helicopters.
Activity; Crews constructed lines behind homes on the eastern side of the fire north to Miller Canyon. Crews mopped up hotspots where the fire crossed Highway 92. Helicopters and air tankers dropped water and retardant to help slow the fire. Crews constructed line and completed burnout operations in the vicinity of Coronado National Memorial. Cochise County Sheriff's Office assessed damage to homes and outbuildings in Ash Canyon.
My heart goes out to a lot of my friends who had lost their homes on Tuesday. Thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

THURSDAY (afternoon)

The fire reached Miller Peak around the afternoon. It had gotten surprisingly bigger...

not too long after it jumped across the highway from Stump Canyon. Amazingly no homes were damaged on that side today. In this picture you can see the green sign that says Miller Canyon Road which is where my parent's (where I grew up) home is to the right and across from that house you see there.

According to incident management team:

Thursday's plan: Due to extreme dry fuel conditions, high winds, and single digit relative humidity, a Red Flag Warning is in effect. Firefighters and fire engines are prepared for extreme fire activity. Additional firefighting resources will join the night shift. Crews will finish the mop up east of Highway 92, and reposition to the Miller Canyon area. A structure protection group will continue to look for potential fire danger north towards Ramsey Canyon, developing protection plans for homes. Crews will work to hold the fire along Forest Road 61 on the southern edge of the fire.

Monsoon season officially started Wednesday June 15. The forecast is saying they are not seeing any signs of rain until end of July. Pray for the rain to come early this season. Officials are saying this fire will not completely go out unless it rains. There are at least 4 other wildfires burning in the state of Arizona. My heart goes out to everyone. I have pictures from Sunday-Tuesday from our fire as well, but for some reason they aren't loading on to blogger. So I'll just write the details. Sunday; the fire was started in the Coronado National Park. The forest was closed due to extreme fire danger and there was a fine if you trespassed. Jail time and money. Miller Canyon was also closed due to extreme weather conditions as well as many other canyons. We were on our way to my parent's house after church on Sunday and we always call my mom telling her we are on our way. The first thing she said was just tell them you live here and they will let you up. I was very confused until we turned towards the mountain and saw smoke rising fast. At that point it was a lot smaller. Then on Monday the fire had spread farther, not too much, and more people started evacuating. The fire was at 0% contained Sunday and Monday. Then Tuesday it took a suprising turn and spread all the way through Ash Canyon and jumped the highway causing more damage. I had just put Jordan down for a nap when I looked outside and it looked like a warzone. It was a huge explosion because it had hit structures. It had shocked even the firefighters that it had done that. Then after that I went to my parents place to help them pre-evacuate and store things in my home. They stayed with us Tuesday night and that's when they left early Wednesday morning for my dad's conference. We also have the dog with us. Poor Chase he is very stressed out that he isn't in his beautiful yard. Hopefully he will be able to go back to it. I'll keep posting updates once I find out more.

Prayers go out to all who have lost homes, pets and also to the firefighters and officials who are working day and night. Thank you for all you do!

HOBBIES?

I used to have time for them, I used to love making time for them. Where does all the time go....where did my interest in making the time go....does anyone else feel like this with their time or am I the only one?

A lot of people don't know this but my favorite hobby is drawing. I am not clean at it though, meaning I have everything left out on a specific drawing table and never put it away. Kind of like scrapbooking. So it's hard to do while having a 2-year old, scratch that, while having Jordan around. Plus I can't finish a drawing in one day, it takes me a few days to finish one thing. Probably because you get other ideas each day.

Anyway I miss my hobby. Hopefully I will get back to it eventually. Another one of my favorite hobbies are collecting pictures, not so much taking them because I am horrible at it......

So on a happier note I finally got my two temple pictures I have been waiting on for awhile. The 4th ward Young Women (who I miss tremendously by the way) sold Gila Valley Temple pictures for their girls camp fundraiser this year and the order came in on Thursday. I love my picture and then Corey surprised me with a beautiful Salt Lake City Temple picture for Mother's Day that I received last week as well. I wanted both because the Gila Valley is where we attend and the Salt Lake City one is where we got married, plus it's my favorite. I'm not done decorating around them but here they are on my wall.....(not same wall).

Jordan's room

We finally got some blinds for Jordan's window in her room and my mom made these curtains for my sister's room when she was a little girl. My mom still had them so she just asked if I wanted to put them up. I love them! Then the bed comforter was mine when I was younger. It has bunnies riding unicycles all over it. I love that as well. The blinds are the faux wood, white.

Jordan helped me take her crib apart on Monday morning and we put her toddler bed up. It was really sad to put the pieces of the crib in the garage. (ready for another little one ;0) She absolutely loves her new bed. As do I. She was getting way too heavy to lift into a crib. She is doing great with it too. Of course she plays and has a lot of books on her while she is sleeping, but hey she is sleeping. ;) Can't complain. I love our new home!

Ok this is so weird, I know, but I secretly want to be a pirate. I am obsessed with the ocean, I want my own island, I love eyeliner, I love boots. The ships are just so cool. How could I go wrong? Jack Sparrow would definitely be apart of my crew, he is hilarious. Haha! I would obviously be the sober one. I guess it's not a secret anymore. ;0 (we saw the movie tonight, that's why it's on my mind, Blackbeard was awesome)

our new home. I love it! Don't look too closely at the yard work we have to do. Below, Jordan is pulling off the nectarines from the tree. She loves to find them and pull them off. And she is totally wearing my hat and dad's shoes while she is working hard. ;0

There are four trees in the back, one nectarine and one apricot. In the front there is one peach tree. I'm going to learn to make jam. Yum!!!

I couldn't resist to take these photos of Jordan in her dad's shoes, sorry there are a couple of them. We bbq'd tonight and it was a beautiful day.

We love our new home, yard and space. We are excited to get to know our neighbors and attend our new ward. I'll get some pics of the inside when I have a little more decor going on. ;)

Today Jordan finally had her appointment and her 2 year shots (or 26 month shots, ha).

Weight: 30 lbs (75th percentile) ;)

Height: 39 3/4 in (off the charts, like 106)

It seriously made her doctor laugh out loud. But he said she looks good, she is just very tall and he asked me if she gets treated differently?...I said how did you know? Cuz yes she does. NOT by our friends, cuz they obviously know now. But definitely by strangers and other moms at the park or playdates we have. Poor girl! It's okay though cuz if I don't catch it and say something usually one of my friends make sure they do. Thanks BTW!

This girl is hilarious! She loves to definitely push my buttons and has an amazing attitude, but I wouldn't change a thing. She loves her friends and LOVES their stuff. Seriously when I say that I am not exaggerating. I think that is the highlight of her day when we get them all together and Jordan can see what her friends bring so she can get into it. It drives me CRAZY! She's like "HI (whomever it is)", then in her head she is saying, "what does this friend have that I can steal." And I mean steal and run off with it. Patience is a virtue, what it is? ;0

We do have so much fun together. She loves getting her hair done but it literally lasts maybe an hour, then she usually waits till we are in a public place to take out her hair things. She loves STAR on sprout, at night before bed she will ask for sprout, it's cute. Then she says night night to him. She talks so much now, it still amazes me when we can talk for a second. Love it! She still loves the outdoors. Loves shoes and all of my jewelry. Loves all kinds of food! Still drinks like a monster. Potty-training will be an adventure I'm sure. The first thing she says in the morning is, "where's daddy", which I reply he is working. So now every morning this is what she says, "where's daddy, it's ok daddy's working." Love that too! She loves him and he loves her. And I love them both! ;0

Prankstars baby!

Yup our team is called the prankstars! I am not wearing green because I am the goalie, pretty sure every one knows that, just saying. ;0 We started way back in January and we have till end of May. I still can't believe I am playing the only sport I vowed never to play, but I have to admit I actually like it. It gets pretty intense sometimes. My team is awesome and everyone is a mom, they are hardcore. Don't get me wrong I laugh very hard a lot of times, some of you know why! Anyway here is our team. I have yet to get an action shot!!! Go team go!

I can't even tell you how excited I am that we are finally moving into our new house beginning in May, which is only 1 week away. We found out yesterday that it is ours. I say it is bitter sweet because although I can't wait to move out of our apartment it means we have to change wards. I love our ward very much, we love our ward. And it hasn't really hit me yet because we won't go to the other ward until June and we will still be in Sierra Vista so I don't think it will really hit until we start attending our new ward. Our new ward will be 5th ward. :)
I don't have pictures of the house yet because it is still occupied until the end of this next week. I will get some as soon as we get the closing done and our keys. I can't wait to have a backyard where Jordan can play, a garage for our cars, no more sharing walls with strangers, no more fearing for our lives some nights, seriously the list goes on. WE WON!!! We took 1st place at the St. David tournament today! :) I'm so happy we finally won this tournament. The first time I played we took 2nd, the second time we took 3rd and the third time we took 1st! Third times the charm right? We actually didn't lose one game the whole day. It was a lot of fun. I am definitely exhausted but it is totally worth being exhausted from doing my favorite thing. A lot of other players that we usually play with or that are great friends were on other teams or pregnant, but I love these girls that I played with today. Front, Leah and Denise. Back, Keesa, Brittany, me and Rebekka (aka Herb). So much fun! Good work! Woot Woot!

with conference weekend getting away to my parent's cabin? It was a very relaxing trip and the weather was great! Conference was awesome as usual but I especially loved it with all the family talks. Got to love that!!! Hopefully we will add on someday! :)

And it couldn't have gone better with Jordan, she is such a good 2 year old, I am really lucky with her. Don't get me wrong she is very very busy but she makes up for it with her sleep. Seriously my child can SLEEP! Sometimes I have to check on her to see, but every time she is passed out. A few weeks ago I transitioned her into a toddler bed and she did great. The first night she had to be scolded only twice and then she was out, the next day for her nap she was begging to go down because we had an exhausting playdate. Then that night was only three scoldings and she was out, then the next day begging to be put down for her nap. But that third night I woke up at 2 in the morning with a double ear infection (never had one before in my life let alone two) added on to my sinus infection not knowing what was going on with my head crying in pain I woke Jordan up and she comes waltzing in a half hour later wide awake saying it's ok, so nice but not the right time. So after going to the doctor that morning and finding out what it was and how long I had till I could get rid of it I put her crib back up that night and we haven't gone back since. I feel guilty but it's like potty training right, if the mom is not ready don't kill the both of you trying to force it. We'll go back to it very soon, especially since she did so great!

Jordan had such a blast at the cabin she wanted to ride the fourwheeler (she called it a "cycle" for motorcycle) the whole time. She was really mad though that mama, daddy and the 2 grandpas couldn't all get on at the same time, she didn't want to leave anyone out. She is very thoughtful. OH yeah and the reason why I say the 2 grandpas is because she refuses to say grandma so they are both grandpa. It's pretty hilarious actually. We were getting a kick out of it the whole weekend. It's not her fault though, because whenever she said grandpa first grandma would come running too, so there you go! Here are a few pics of her and her on the "cycle".

Trent and Shelby were sealed in the Mesa, Arizona temple on March 18. It was such a beautiful day and a beautiful ceremony. I'm so happy for you two!!

Corey, Jordan and I left for Tucson on Wednesday after Corey's last day of working at Oil Can Henry's because he was hired to work in the finance department at Northrop Grumman that started the following Monday. (March 21) It couldn't have worked out more perfectly because he was able to come with Jordan and I to the sealing.

So we stayed the night in Tucson and Thursday afternoon we drove to Mesa to meet up with my parents and I got to see these family members whom I love and miss like crazy......

Friday morning we woke up early and headed to the Mesa Temple. I left Corey and Jordan in the hotel room because they didn't need to get there until 11:00 for pictures. We were laughing so hard trying to get a pic of all four of us in the back, this is the best we could do with our situation and it was pretty hilarious for some reason.

Jordan turned 2 on February 21st! :) Her birthday landed on Monday and I had soccer practice in the morning at the park so we went there and she played with all the other kids. (yes I'm playing soccer, I'll post that later) Then we had lunch, then we went to the mall and she played with more friends at the play area in the mall, then we went back home for her nap and while she slept I baked her cupcakes. Then my parents came over around 4 p.m. (she was still sleeping) So we decorated with balloons and wrapped her presents. Corey and my dad grabbed pizza. After they got home we had to wake Jordan up from her nap to get her birthday party started. She was so excited to see presents and Grandma and Grandpa. She had tons of fun and was spoiled. She almost blew out her candle this year but we weren't patient enough and I blew it out. She is growing up so fast and talking so much. Here are her favorite things.......Mickey Mouse, jewelry (mom's or fake), baby dolls plus their stroller, books, kitchen (playfood), shoes (everyone's), Special Agent Oso, Handy Manny, monkey, loves being outside, loves playing catch, anything that is "cute" or "pretty", (she'll say it as well). She is not picky about food but she will not eat peanut butter or jello. She also has a lot of friends her age that she asks for. It's really cute. Some of my favorite phrases or sentences she says are......"Oh my gosh, Kristen."...."Let's play."....."Where are you?"...."All done."...."eat?"..."Oh cute."....."Gross babies gross." And so much more. The other day we were driving around and she said, "Look it's a bird." It shocked me, I turned around to make sure I wasn't imagining things. I still have her on the same kind of schedule that she has had for a while. She goes down at night now around 7:30 p.m. and she can sleep in forever if I would let her. But I'm sure that will change as of today because I just switched her crib in for a toddler bed. It's so cute. I first tried it for her nap this afternoon and she rocked it out. I had to be firm but she learned quickly and she still slept her three hour nap, yay! Right now she is down for the night and she is sleeping well. She loves it! Her hair is growing in still curly, it's hard to do but I love the curls. I love you Jordan!

Merry Christmas!!! This year we were supposed to go up to Provo to spend with Corey's family but with his new job he wasn't able to get enough time off. So his awesome family decided to drive down here the first week of December and spend a few days with us. It was a lot of fun to have them here. Of course I didn't take any pics and didn't make anyone in charge of taking them either, my bad. I'm glad you guys came, good times and lots of laughs always!

Christmas was a blast this year. Jordan was so fun about it too! Whenever she saw Christmas lights she would say "ooooh pretty, huh?" just like a question. She would also say, "Bye Santa." So cute. She didn't even try to open the presents under the tree. Her main present from Santa was a kitchen, she was so excited! She loved all of her presents! :)

Happy Thanksgiving!!! This year we had Thanksgiving with my family this year. Trent and Shelby were able to come down from Provo but Brett and Jana had just moved to Washington so they weren't able to come down this time around. So it was my parents, Trent, Shelby, my grandpa and us three. We had a good time eating thanksgiving food of course and playing our traditional games we play when we all get together. Always a good time!

Happy Halloween!! Last night we went to Trunk-or-treat for Jordan with my mom and dad's ward at our stake center. Jordan was a fairy this year! She did not understand the trick-or-treating part at first but then she got the hang of putting the candy in her bucket or at least keeping it in her bucket. She was definitely having a blast.

Also Corey got a new job as the Manager at Oil Can Henry's. He was able to quit his night job at Big Lots finally. :)

Two weeks ago Jordan and I hitched a ride with Grandma and Grandpa B up to Brett, Jana, Jovie and Brock's place in Salt Lake. It is a really cute place. The three kids had so much fun together. They are adorable, miss them already. The purpose was to visit of course but also because Shelby was going through the Temple. Jordan ended up getting sick so I wasn't able to go but everyone else was able to so that was good. I was able to hang out with her and everyone else too, so that was nice. While we were up there we were able to see Grandmas Seiuli and Taylor with auntie Lea and Bre. My Grandma Estes (Jordan's nana), Aethea, Bryn and Tyler. We went with those two to the nightmare on 13th (so much fun). We also went through a corn maze while we were there, the kids had a blast through that. It was a great trip! After that Brett got a job in Washington and they moved shortly up there after our visit. Congrats!

AUGUST 2010

Corey turned 26 on August 19 and it landed on a Thursday this year. I decided I wanted to celebrate it in Tucson. Corey gets free hotel coupons from the radio so we stayed in a hotel suite Friday night and all we had to pay was a $5 tax fee. My parents took Jordan for the night and most of Saturday. Thank you so much! We went to Red Lobster, Corey's choice, and then to the movies to see Despicable Me, hilarious! It was really nice to get away and be together just the two of us for a little bit. I love my man! Happy Birthday love!

Jordan also turned 18 months on the 21st of this month. She is growing up so fast. She is so much fun and she is so cute. It is also the first time she went to nursery. She did great for her first day. I dropped her off and she said bye-bye. Haha! After that she sometimes cries and takes awhile to say bye but it's only a minute, then she's good! Way to be a big girl! :)

We went up to my parent's cabin in Cloudcroft, New Mexico. My Grandma and my mom were there since Friday the 23rd and me, dad and Jordan drove up on Tuesday the 27th and stayed till Friday the 30th. Corey had to stay home and work. Jordan loved every second except the car rides. For some reason she did not sleep longer than 25 minutes both ways. At the cabin though she had a blast. My parent's cabin is beautiful. It was a nice get away from Sierra Vista especially since it rained every day. I love the rain when you're in a cabin. There is a covered balcony that goes all the way around so we were able to still be outside and Jordan could still play without getting soaked because she loves to be outside. We went for a walk one evening and running through one of the neighbors land is a stream and Jordan loved it. She did not want to leave it, if I let her she would have played in it all night long. Jordan also rode the fourwheeler for the first time for two rides. She loved that too!

Volleyball anyone?

Anyone who knows me knows I am in love with playing volleyball, any kind. In April and October I play in a St. David tournament with my friends normal six-on-six indoor. Then last summer I played doubles in a grass tournament that lasts the whole summer. I first played with my friend Rebekka (Herb) then I started playing with my friend Keesa and we won the championship at the end of the summer. I had a lot of fun! This summer we are going to play again. The games are only on saturdays and Corey usually brings Jordan by with the stroller and snacks to come cheer me on. She thinks it's fun to watch mom hit the ball. She yells and claps her hands. It was funny because for winning we got these trophies and she thought it was for her and still does. But of course I gave it to her! She was very excited. The picture isn't very glamorous because being monsoon season it rained all morning on us and plus our sweat doesn't make for a great look! :) In June my friend Brittany put together a four-on-four indoor tournament. Corey and I played with Spencer and Marlee Forsberg. We got fifth out of 10. We did a lot better than I thought we would. We had tons of fun! I love VOLLEYBALL!

July was a blast literally with fireworks and all. Happy 4th of July! Jordan did not like the fireworks at all, she was terrified. Hopefully next year she will enjoy them. So Corey and I took her home and put her to bed and we were able to watch the show from our balcony because they have the show at our soccer/softball fields, which is across the street. Then my parents came over and we played games. The next morning we woke up and went to the Tucson zoo for the first time with Jordan. My parents took us. Jordan got to feed a giraffe 2 carrots, even though she wanted to eat the carrots herself. She thought the giraffes were way cool. She also really liked the polar bear, he was awesome. He swam the whole time we were watching him and he did a flip under the water. Animals are the best. She also saw the elephants, lions, tiger, monkeys, rhinos, zebras, ducks and tons of birds. It was a great sunny, but very hot day!

Jordan has been really fascinated with the toilet for a while. While I was cleaning the shower/tub this is what she was doing. I obviously wasn't paying attention. She even closed the lid after she put it in there for more effect. Then when I was ready to clean the toilet this is what I found.......

That's right, it's one of my pot lids. Hahaha! It cracked me up, she thought it was pretty funny too! She has all kinds of fun! :) I'm glad we can laugh together baby J!

In June Corey's younger sister Bre came and stayed with us for a whole week. We swam almost every day, ate out of our minds, went to the cove, played card games, watched movies, talked and everything else you could imagine. Bre is getting so tall and she is only 11. Lea couldn't come this time because she is now cheerleading. We missed her. I'm glad Bre was able to come though. We also got to see Brad when he dropped off Bre and then Peti stayed a few days when she came to pick Bre up. It was a very fun visit.

Jordan is growing so fast. She is saying so many words now. They are: all done (eating), dog-woof, mama, dad/dadda, cheese, please, pretty, roar (lion), aw-aw (monkey), weee, ball, that, what's that, this, hi, hey, so much more I'm done writing, haha! Sometimes it feels like I blink and she learns something new. Love this girl!

May 5th was our 3rd wedding anniversary. We celebrated it by going out to eat, I can't remember where haha. But we treated ourselves to half a week without Jordan the 12-15, Wednesday through to Saturday. Our good friends from Salt Lake were meeting up once again. Peter's parents had a time share they weren't going to be using so they asked him if he wanted to use it, so nice of them!!! And I'm glad Peter and Meghan decided to share with us as well and they chose a resort in Scottsdale called The Rocks. It was beautiful. Pretty much we were spoiled with luxury. Peter and Meghan got there Sunday along with Travis and Teresa. Jaron and Lauren got there Tuesday and then we arrived on Wednesday. It was so much fun to see all of their beautiful faces again. I miss these peeps. We layed out, played games, most importantly ate :), we went to a really fun waterpark for a day called wet n wild. (if you have a chance to go do it, it is really fun) My other good friend Gina gave me the best gift during that time which was to watch Jordan. So sweet of her. It was nice because she had her from Wednesday-Friday and she lives in Maricopa which is only 40 minutes or so away from Scottsdale so if Jordan wasn't cooperating or any emergency she wasn't too far from me. Thanks to her a million times over. Then I met Gina at a mall and picked up Jordan, drove to Tucson and met Trent and Shelby. Then they took her to their place until my parents met up with them in Tucson and took her back to Sierra Vista with them for the night and Saturday until we came home that afternoon. I am so grateful everyone was willing to help out and take her in a heartbeat. It was definitely weird though not being with her those days and nights, then seeing her and leaving her again. But it was worth it, sometimes we need vacations, especially when you get a sweet chance like this one. I think they are healthy. All in all we had an awesome time!!!

MARCH/APRIL 2010

On January 4, 2010 Corey started working at the local radio station, Cherry Creek radio, as an account representative. Then in the beginning of March he started working from 5p.m. to 10p.m. at Big Lots! Jordan and I didn't really see him much because he came home from the radio station at 4 then had to leave for his second job at 5. He is working very hard. I appreciate him and I love him every second.

In March my brother married his darling wife Shelby. So my sister came down from Salt Lake with Jovie and Brock. My Grandma also came down. It was a good time. Easter was around that time as well. That was fun with Jordan looking for her Easter eggs. We took a lot of videos of it, more than pictures. We had the kids playing and getting into everything. They have so much fun together.

Then I had my birthday and of course was spoiled. I was able to play in the St. David volleyball tournament all day and we took 2nd out of 10. It was a lot of fun!

Jordan turned 14 months in April. She loves to fall asleep with her monkey, she used to let us hold her for a second before putting her down but now she just wants to be put in her crib, she loves to watch and play with other kids, she's always smiling. She loves to dance to all music, she actually dances to the beat too, she picked up this new trait and she now rolls her eyes (it's adorable now but it won't be when she is 16, ha!). She drinks 2% milk, knows what an elephant says and a doggy, she says dog, dad, mom, guck for duck, she loves her juice, she walks everywhere and climbs everything, she loves to swim and play at the park. I love our daughter, I am so blessed. She will love being the big sister in charge and that she will be!

FEBRUARY 2010

Jordan turned one year on February 21, 2010. She had chocolate cupcakes and tons of presents. She was a little behind on her stats because we didn't take her to the doctor until she was fifteen months old. So her stats were 28 lbs. and 34 in. She got her one year shots too of course, those are always fun right? Ha! She started walking two weeks after her first birthday. I have to say I was a huge fan of walking more than crawling. She was able to get to me faster, that's why I liked it. Jordan is one hilarious one year old. She is walking everywhere and getting into everything too. :) She is also fast. This girl loves music and dances every time she hears it. She throws her head back and waves it back and forth. It cracks me up. Her laughter comes in different styles, she has her deep laugh when she is being tickled, her pity laugh, her fake laugh (this one is funny) because she mimmicks your laughter. She says goggy for doggy, hi, dad, dada (for everything), no (cute but not), mama (when she is whining), etc., and all the other words I don't understand, love it. Happy 1 year Jordan!!!

I definitely am the world's worst blogger ever hands down. Of course I have been living in the stone age. Not having a computer is really hard, it feels strange. But now I remember all the things I used to do before I had all these luxuries. So I'm proud to say my journal is pretty packed with everything. At least I'm writing it down somewhere I guess. But I definitely miss looking at all of your updates and pictures for sure. This luxury is nice. I also saw my sister's blog book when she got it for christmas a couple years ago and it's so cool, so I do want that too. Anyway don't give up on me just yet. Right now I am using my mom's laptop from her classroom, so nice of her. We still have not gotten a computer yet but we will soon, yeah! :)

I have to grab my journal and update everything from the past year and Jordan's journal to remember everything. It was a good year, ready and happy for a new one, but all in all a good one. I am going to have to update slowly because it will be too much at once.

The last time I blogged we were still living with my parents. We moved out into an apartment on February 13, 2010. We were happy and so grateful my parents opened their home to us but we were very ready to get out as were they. (No hard feelings ever :) ) We love having them so close but not in the same walls, haha. She is agreeing with me right now, good times! We did have a blast though. A live-in babysitter is always the best kind. :) All jokes aside we love you guys, thanks for everything.

So I spoke of some of Jordan's new likes, this game is mine and Corey's new like! Our friends, the Forsbergs introduced this game to us and it seriously is a blast to play. If any of you have not played this game please do so. It is hilariously fun!!! All of the peeps in the 900 court this almost rules out couples catch phrase, not even joking! Family, watch out it's coming to reunions, haha! PLAY IT!

11 months!

Jordan turned 11 months on January 21st! She is getting so big so fast and learning quickly. Her new found like is the piano, the real piano, she loves to crawl right up to it try to climb on the bench first, then realizes she can't quite do that and starts playing the keys. Luckily she doesn't pound it yet so it's not a bad thing, YET! She still loves the dog of course. We taught her how to do high five, it's so fun, she will do it with you forever when she wants to. When she doesn't want to she will either stare at you or move your hand away with hers, haha! She will also do both hands for high ten! She loves to sing the hymns in church quite loudly actually, sometimes it's embarrasing but mostly funny! She loves to watch other kids, she has a friend named Rachel at church, they give each other kisses and hugs. It's really cute! She loves to wrestle with her dad when he gets home from work. She loves to eat cheese and chicken nuggets! She says dada, mama, hi, dah (for dog), she likes to talk to dad and anyone else who calls us on the phone. She loves to climb the stairs. She loves car rides! She still loves taking two long naps, one in the morning, one in the afternoon. She still sleeps long nights, she does need a nightlight now though! She is officially scared of the dark, we learned that the hard way! I felt horrible because she usually sleeps through the night and she kept waking up not hungry and totally scared sitting in the corner of her crib, so FINALLY one night I was like hey duh maybe she needs some light, yup that was the key. I felt so bad! I'm so sorry it took me a little bit to realize baby J! She loves to swim, LOVES it! She still loves her very warm baths. Loves her bottle, blankets and I could go on forever. Jordan your dad and I love everything about you, muah!

Ok so I forgot that I took this on our way up to Utah for Thanksgiving. I was sitting back there with her because I was feeding her her lunch. We didn't want to stop at that exact moment so I stayed back there. While I was putting the food away I noticed she got very quiet, which is unusual for her, and I looked up and saw this. I didn't have the camera but luckily I had my phone on me, so I took a quick shot. She loves her bear. He sings two songs and then tells the Goldilocks and the Three Bears story and he has a British accent. It's kind of funny because Jana and I both got one from our mom for Christmas 2008 for our new babies that were about to arrive. We made fun of it so bad because of the accent, but I ate crow because Jordan absolutely loves the thing. It melted my heart. Jordan you are feisty but you have your very sweet moments. I'm just glad I was there to capture it!

Merry Christmas everyone! It was Jordan's first Christmas and as you can see she had a blast!!! The Raddon's came down from Salt Lake and they actually brought some snow with them. It snowed the 23rd, it didn't stay long, but it was beautiful. Of course my camera wasn't anywhere to be found. Of course! It was so fun to have these kiddos so close in age. They had so much fun playing together. I think it was more fun for me to watch them interact. I was laughing my head off a lot! Jordan loves her cousins Jovie and Brockee. Jordan and Brock climbed the stairs together almost every minute. And she wanted to follow Jovie around everywhere but she wasn't fast enough. Jordan's Santa gift was that fun table you see here in the pics, she loves that thing. I'm glad! It definitely keeps her busy. She loves to dance to the music it plays and yell when the singing starts. She loves all her other gifts from the family as well. We had such a great Christmas with everyone this year. I'm glad we have the pics to remember.
Jordan turned 10 months on the 21st of December and is getting so big. It's weird to think of the times when she wasn't so mobile. She has 4 teeth as of 10 months. Her hair is growing in thick and curly. It's all over the place and I love it! I try to put bows in it but she usually rips them out and then tears them apart, haha! Not so fun for me, but oh well. She still loves her very warm baths. She loves her blankets, she likes chewing on them! She loves to climb the stairs and she loves her daddy to chase her. She crawls very fast to get away, it's hilarious. She likes standing on his chest like she is surfing, she doesn't hold on to anything, it gives me a heartattack, but I know if she tumbled Corey has her. Anyway I'll update more when she turns 11 months, which is next week. WE love you baby J!

This year we celebrated Thanksgiving with Corey's side of the family in Provo, UT. It was a lot of fun! We drove the long drive that Tuesday and got there at a fairly decent time, 7:00 p.m. Not bad, not bad! Jordan did great, she loves to sing in the car with us. It's hilarious! She had so much fun playing with her aunts, Lea and Bre. She also had a blast with her grandmas, she got to see Grandma Taylor, Great Grandma Taylor, Grandma Seiuli, Great Grandma Leulu and Great Grandma Estes. Then of course Grandpa Taylor and Great Grandpa Taylor! She was definitely spoiled rotten. We also got to see the Raddons, that was so nice of them to stop on their way down to Hurricane. WE miss you guys tons! Can't wait till Christmas with all of you! So I'm definitely fired, I did not take pics of this occasion. Corey and my dad had to go to our cabin in New Mexico to get my grandpa's furniture from his cabin because he is selling his. They were only going to be gone over night and back but I wanted to take Jordan to our cabin for her first time outside the belly. It was freezing!!! But it was fun to stay in the cabin for one night at least. I hope to go back soon and stay longer. Jordan had fun! I dressed her up in her bear costume and took tons of pictures. Today is November 1, a Sunday, and Jordan started crawling around. It was during church. She was being kind of fussy during sacrament so Corey took her out in the foyer. She did not want to be held and so Corey put her down to play on the ground. While Corey was talking to a fellow dad he looked down and there went Jordan. Little did we know the reason why she was being fussy was because she wanted to crawl away. Haha! Now she is so fast and she gets to whatever she wants. She loves getting the remote controls (of course) and anything with plugs. Not fun for mom with those things, but other than that I love it. It's really nice because I don't have to really pick her up as much anymore, she'll just follow me around. Love it and love you baby j!

Wow how time flys!!! Jordan turned 8 months on Wednesday the 21st! She is on the verge of crawling, she hasn't quite gotten the motion down yet, but I'm sure she will soon and then I'll

wonder why I wanted her to crawl so bad! :) We also had a doc appointment on Tuesday and she is 31 inches long and weighs 22 lbs. She is just a long, lean, but thick (if that makes sense?)

She loves to say MA-MA! By drawing it out and repeating it over and over, she just really likes to hear her voice. Her dad. The dog. Grandpa and Grandma. Car rides. Car keys. Our cell phones. Food (mostly vegetables). Rolling and rolling. Listening to her own voice. Her hands. Lights. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. Special Agent Oso's paw pilot girl, (when she sings). She loves her basket of toys, she will take them out and put them away over and over again. Her basketball. Her toes in her mouth. She loves to play with her two bottom teeth with her tongue. Music, whenever it comes on she will rock back and forth. She loves to be outside. She loves her sleep. Loves stuffed animals, especially bears. Likes to eat books and paper. Walks in her stroller. Playing with her dad's legs. Giving "kisses", she sticks her tongue out whenever you say, "kisses". (so sweet of her, haha) Any way I could go on and on. We love this little girl so much and are so greatful to be her parents.

Yup.....these two cuties got hitched! It was a beautiful
ceremony on the Queen Mary ship. I was glad I was
able to attend. I hopped in the car with my parentals
leaving Corey and for the first time ever my little
Jordan. Luckily I had Betty, bless her heart,
volunteer to watch her that day. Corey was able to
get off work early and pick her up at a decent time,
so it was nice. It was so fun to be a witness for these
two and I got to see and be with my other cousins...
.I had a lot of fun!

dough vanilla milkshake that I set down and

standing in? We all looked down and saw this.....

Oh yeah Chris was definitely standing in my
milkshake, haha! Luckily he forgot his nice shoes
so he just had on a pair of sneakers. I forgot to
take a picture of his shoes-hilarious! But don't
worry I had my shoes off and they definitely
were filled with the milkshake so I had to do this...

Don't worry they were my shoes and I promise
I didn't really drink out of them. It looks pretty
believable though huh? It was really funny
especially because Chris felt so bad. It's alright
man you just owe me a milkshake next
time I see you, haha!

SO Tuesday, Sept. 15, I had to take Jordan in for her shots and all that fun stuff. Well they weighed her in at 21 lbs and 6 oz. which dunta da puts her in the 75th percentile. Yay I don't know why I was excited about that, but I was. Her height is still off the charts by a long shot reaching 30 inches long!!! And she finally rolled today on Sept. 17. She got so excited she squealed and I was clapping so hard it made her jump! Ha! Such a big girl, it's crazy! Love you baby J.

Jordan Seiuli is 6 months old!!! Wow how time
flies. This little girl amazes Corey and I every day!
We are so blessed to have her and we can't ever get
enough. Here are some of Jordan's likes and dislikes.......

I love my bottle.....I don't use a binky so when I get a chance I definitely chew on my bottle.
I really like my grandparent's dog, his name is Chase. I always look for him and laugh when I see him.
I love love my naps....if I don't get those I'm not very pleasant, but when I do I love the world.
I also love love bedtime....before I go to bed I have a bath and I splash in that white thing so much I reach the top of my mom's head and get it all wet. I laugh!!!
I love to stick my tongue out a little bit and make spitting noises...especially when I think something is funny and whenever I see that dog.
I love to play catch with my little basketball.
When I wake up in the morning I obviously get my bottle and then I go downstairs and I watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse....love that show.
I love to eat food....my favorites are sweet potatoes, green beans, and carrots. I also like the fruit if I'm in the mood.
I love to be outside.....I like to see birds fly by and I love to stare at the trees.
I also really like my toes and my hands. They are fun!
I like to scoot around on my belly but I only go in a circle, I also scoot when I'm on my back but I also only go in a circle from that too.
And even though I always want to know where my mom is I am definitely a daddy's girl!!!

We are moving on August 14 to Sierra Vista, Arizona. My family moved there when I was 11 and my parents are still there. I went to Buena High. GO COLTS!!! :O Then I went to play volleyball at Eastern Arizona in Thatcher, AZ with a few of my buddies from Buena. During my time at E.A., my sister, Jana got married to Brett Jay Raddon and moved up to Salt Lake from Flagstaff to attend the University of Utah in 2004. Brett then got sent out to Iraq for 18 months after the first four months they were married. So I had a choice to come to Salt Lake and live with Jana or go to Connecticut to play more v-ball. Well it wasn't a very hard choice obviously!!! I moved to Salt Lake right after I finished school at E.A. in July 2005. I hated Utah for a very long time. Even though I made friends fast and I was living with my sister I still missed Arizona bad. But when I realized I wanted to stay in Utah was when I needed to find my own place with some roommates before Brett came home from Iraq. Yup, UTAH had grown on me. While I was living with Jana I got a job at the Deseret First Credit Union and made awesome friends. I was also attending the University 28th Ward and I had made tons of friends in that ward as well. One of my closest friends that I met was in February 06, his name was Corey Seiuli. The first day we met was actually at church and we were arguing. Reason being; I was the Second Counselor in the Relief Society Presidency and our Relief Society President, Ashley, had been gone for two months on this school trip and she was coming home that week. So I had bought a huge poster board for THE RELIEF SOCIETY to sign. Well after Relief Society we had Sunday School and we have it in the same room right after. I told the girls that it will be on the back table and to go up and sign it when they had a chance. I went to the bathroom during transition and when I got back to supervise my board this guys was signing it and I said very nicely, "this board is actually just for the girls to sign." Little did I know while I was in the bathroom our First Counselor said let's have everyone sign it. So this other guy was sitting right next to the board on the other side checking me out and said, "hey he can sign it too." I said, "no he can't and who are you?" he says, "yes he can she just announced everyone should sign it." Of course I was bugged and I dropped it. Anyway that was our first encounter. But I officially got introduced to him the next day for F.H.E. Because it was for Valentine's Day and we were speed dating. I just recently was kind of dating this other guy in the ward and it didn't really work out, so I definitely didn't want to go to this. But my five roommates dragged me and made me drive so I had to. Well the last guy I sat accross from was of course this big brown guy and I found out his name was Corey. He was actually quite hilarious and charming. Except he started making fun of me when he learned that I could play sports. He doubted my abilities, so I challenged him to a game of horse. He didn't take me seriously until he pulled a fast one on me and said okay give me your number and I'll check to see if a court is open and I gave it to him without thinking. So now even though he got my number he would really have to play me. Anyway I creamed him. Haha! After that we became great friends and after three months of that we started dating. Then in 07 we got married and moved into the university married student housing and had two awesome football seasons, 08 was way better, obviously. We made the best friends ever in this little village that we live in and the best memories being all goofy. Then we got pregnant in the summer of 08 and had baby Jordan Seiuli Feb 09. Corey then graduated May 09 and will finish school this August and we are headed out August as well. Time really does fly when you are having fun!!! I will miss Utah so much!

After Jackson Hole my sister Jana, her two kids,
Jovie and Brock, Jordan, and I drove to Sierra
Vista, AZ for fifteen hours to visit Grandma and
Grandpa and Uncle Trent. I had a good time. It
was fun to see some of my best friends, Gina,
Marlee, Holly, Rebekka (Herb), and Brittney that I
grew up with and catch up on old times. And to see
their babies for the first time as well. This picture is

So our trip almost two months ago to Jackson
Hole was so much fun. The Tetons are
beautiful aren't they?

Everyone loved the pool, especially the kiddies!
Jordan actually stayed in her cousin Brock's
tube. She really liked it. Of course she liked to

girl already!!! He loves it!

So it only took one awful day, but Jordan is now sleeping in her crib during the day for nap times and she loves it. I don't know why I was so worried, she's such a good girl. Any way my brother also just got home from his mission in Spain two days ago and we will be going to Jackson Hole with the whole fam for the celebration. And also for Corey and Brett graduating. Then my sister and I are going to take our babies and drive fifteen hours to visit back home in Sierra Vista, AZ. Wish us luck! It will definitely be an adventure. I'll have tons of pics from that trip that I'll update once I get back home.

She finally lifted her head the farthest she has

on her tummy last week and I happened to have

the camera. Yay! She is getting so big, it's exciting.

So today I started her sleep schedule for the day-

time, it's a nightmare. Bless her heart. She won't

go down in her crib during the day at all. I don't

know how I'm going to differentiate crib during the

day and night, because she loves her crib at night,

she sleeps in it for 12 hours at night. If anyone has

advice shoot it my way. I'll take anything right now

and probably mix and match the advice until

something works.

Lastnight Corey surprised me with a wonderful gift. He was in our room for awhile and he told me to come into the room. So I came in and my pillows were on the wrong side of the bed. I looked at him and said, "Corey those are my pillows" and he said "I know I'm sleeping on the outside of the bed tonight because I am taking care of Jordan tonight and you can sleep." Yes he gave me the gift of sleep. Oh it was wonderful!!! Of course I woke up when she woke up, but I didn't have to get up. I think Jordan knew to take it easy on her dad, because she only woke up once last night. Thank you Corey, you spoil me. I love you!!!

PRECIOUS COOS AND AWWS

So last Friday Jordan finally started smiling for me. It melted my heart. Of course I started crying and then she looked at me like what is wrong with you. Haha! But it was the most precious moment ever and she just stared at me and then she started cooing. It was like she was telling me mom it's okay, don't cry. These little things are so precious. I love them! After going through such an awful delivery I never thought I'd appreciate being a woman, but now I'm greatful I am a woman because being a mom is the best thing ever. Anyway now when I lay her down on a blanket she gets so excited and kicks like crazy while she talks up a storm. I love these moments. It definitely makes late night feedings worth it.

Today on Saturday February 28, 2009 was your first day home. You had to stay in the NICU for seven nights, eight days. I had tears in my eyes when you were looking up at me finally in my arms in our home together as a family. You loved it right away and you especially loved your crib. You knew it was just for you! ;) I am so glad you are home and that you are who you are. The picture of you and your dad is so precious for me because he was the only one that you let cuddle you for the first two weeks of your life. So sweet. We love you baby girl!

was born February 21, 2009 @ LDS Hospital weighing in at 9lbs. 11oz. at 213/4 inches long. You have a head full of dark brown hair, beautiful brown eyes and the best tan complexion ever. You were delivered by an emergency c-section, with complications explained in my journal. I wasn't able to hold you or see you until 14 hours later and you were put in the NICU because you had gotten pnuemonia from swallowing your poo. These pictures are what dad was able to take of you. You were so strong and you gained weight, which is rare they say for the NICU. So you knocked out all the treatments in only eight days, seven nights. The bottom picture of your mouth is why I nicknamed you Ducky for awhile. Your dad and I love you so much!

OK so everyone has been asking me what I looked like when I was at my biggest and I told them I didn't take any pictures of it because I really didn't want to but I just found these two. And this isn't my biggest because this is when I was only eight months pregnant and I gained more weight than I ever did in the last month, so I definitely got bigger than this. Awesome huh? These pics don't do justice of how big I was. My nose in this first picture is huge. The reason I am not smiling is because it would have gotten wider with the smile plus my eyes would have been hidden by my cheeks, hence no smiling. ;0 And let's face it I really wasn't happy with someone taking my picture either. The second is my proof at 8 months pregnant. I literally had to hold my stomach like that a lot because it felt like it was going to fall off. Needless to say it was very uncomfortable. On January 23 I was put on bed rest for the next month because I was diagnosed with preeclampsia in November and it progressively had gotten worse. Plus my blood levels were dangerously off the charts. I wasn't on a very strict bed rest because I had to see my doctor once a week still and go to the hospital for my non-stress tests that were twice a week. Other than that they wanted me sitting or lying down just as long as my feet were up for the duration of the day. All in all I gained 67 pounds total. Oh and the reason I knew I had preeclampsia or what made me call my doctor to see if I had it was because I had gained 14 pounds in one week when I was 6 months pregnant. That is not normal!!! Anyway long story of why I didn't take too many pictures the last month. I wish I took some pictures of my legs after having her though, it looked like I had elephantitis! Haha! (I can look back and laugh now, then.....not so much)

It was on a Saturday, February 17, 2007 when Corey Ifi Seiuli proposed to me, Kristen Barkdull on the Salt Lake City Temple grounds by using the Johnny Lingo theme from that same movie we had just finished watching a half hour before. For me it was the first time I had seen the movie. Corey was actually in Provo for the day and while he was there he was picking up the engagement ring and planning a special way to propose to me with the help of his friends Adam and Richie. But he had told me he had a "dentist appointment". Anyway on his way back to Salt Lake, finally, he called me and asked me if I want him to pick up pizza and if I want to watch Johnny Lingo and I said, "yes, definitely". While we were watching Johnny Lingo I asked him, "how many cows am I?" All Corey said was, "we'll see". So of course being me I thought what kind of answer is that, he should answer that straight up and fast. Haha! Then the movie was over and he asked if I wanted to walk around Temple Square. So we drove down and we parked in my work parking garage. It was desolate walking on the temple grounds, Corey was telling me about a lot of interesting facts about the temple. I was taking it all in and for some reason at the same time I was freaking out. Actually I remember on the way there Corey decided to tell me that if his mom begged Corey not to get married he wouldn't right now. So I was upset because here we were at the temple and I really wanted to marry this guy I was with. Anyway so we are walking around and Corey notices something is wrong and he comforts me and comes and holds me, then his phone rings and he is talking to someone quietly and short. He gets off and I'm like who was that and he tells me no one. I'm like ok no one is calling you and you were talking to no one, right! Then he says come on keep walking and all of a sudden there is a million people that the conference center just let out and we walked with the herd and then Corey says look and I look down to my left and on this bench were three stuffed animals. I was like those are not supposed to be there, if my mother or grandmother were here they would throw them away, haha! We keep walking and I see more stuffed animals coming out of trees and sitting on rocks and benches. By this point I am laughing my head off and I reach out for one of them thinking okay I am walking around with Corey and he wants me to take them. As I reach out he pulls me back and says don't touch them you don't know where it has been and what if they are bombs. WHAT? Then he realized what he said and it was loud for everyone to hear so he said just kidding. Finally the second to the last stuffed animal I realized they were all cows! DUH! Corey looked at me like finally! Then we go around on the other side of the reflection pool and there sitting on a bench was a huge red bull with the case open and the ring sitting inside sparkling ever so shiny. He picks it up and at that time Corey had a cast on so it was hard for him to get down on one knee. So he asked me standing kind of bent, I said YES, I will marry you! He put the ring on and halfway on he stopped because my knuckle made it stop, his eyes got wide because later he said it was his fear that it wouldn't fit. I said push harder and he did and it fit perfectly. I started to cry and I kissed him and held onto him so tight and he said turn around there is someone taking pictures. I turned around and it was Adam and Richie snapping quick shots of us. I was totally embarrased so I wiped my eyes and smiled big. On our way back we called our parents and explained this whole story, it was great. I love my Corey!
